Our 14 watt Chandelier style EarthBulb CFL replaces 60 watt incandescent providing 75% energy savings.  Savings over the 8,000 hr. average rated life is equivalent to keeping 540 lbs. of CO²from being released into the air and provides $37 in electricity cost savings (at $0.10kwh).  Soft White color is standard.  This decorative CFL easily fits in wall sconces, decorative fixtures and chandeliers.  Electronic ballast delivers instant, no flicker starting.  Medium screw base.  Not for use on dimming circuits.  

 


Earthbulb compact fluorescents use Amalgam rather than Liquid Mercury.

This allows the bulb to operate at a cooler temperature and be used in  enclosed fixtures. In addition, the use of amalgam eliminates the environmental concern regarding disposal of CFL's. The mercury used in the lamps is entirely contained inside the amalgam alloy and does not escape when the lamp is destroyed or disposed of.
